Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Caterpillar...

This fellow was headed across our deck at the camp, the other day, so neat looking and different.
I believe it is a younger one as the more mature adult one is green.
So amazing to see creatures like this to me, really makes my day and to be able to photograph too..bonus !!
He even stood up on his 'honches' and looked right at me, lol

  1. Bonifer this is just amazing! Photographing insects is so much fun. I love his false eyes on his body.

  2. Impressive shots! We've had a lot of the swallowtails around, especially earlier in the summer, but I haven't seen any of the caterpillars.

  4. Cool...it's interesting to see what it looks like before it turns into a butterfly. We have lots of swallowtails here, but I've never seen one of these. What a great find!
