My Rosebush is starting to bloom...

A glance at Cedar Meadows this past week...

Noticed these muscular fellows in the park, might be Clydesdale's, not sure..

Also these two baby Elk are most welcome, mom steered them away when I stopped the truck, but nice to see the additions to our wilderness park.

A little piggie...

we spent the last almost 5 days at the camp, (no internet out there) got lots of pics to go through, this one is so cute,
the peanut was as big as he was, but he was determined to get it in his mouth and take it back to his home. He finally did and grabbed another smaller one to go with it!!

Northern Flying Squirrels...

at camp.. If you were following my blog last summer, you will remember these fellows from our camp.
I love when they start coming, for those who aren't aware of them, they are a nocturnal squirrel, who don't really fly but actually 'glide' from tree to tree, with the help of furry membranes on each side of their body. I put peanuts out nightly, when we are there, and usually by 11: p.m., they show up..
these are quick pics I took on the weekend, hoping to get more and possible 'catch' them in the gliding motion at some point...they are very comfortable with me, standing in front of them, taking a few shots.

This one shows the 'furry membrane', known as the patagium...

Beauty of a Butterfly...

As some of you know, we have a permanent campsite at a local campground, and spend a lot of time out there in the spring and summer months, there is no internet, so I have to post my pics when I get home, but it does give me opportunity to get a nice assortment of pictures that I couldn't possibly get 'in the city'!!!
We were just out for 4 days, yesterday I went for a walk and caught up with this fellow, he hung around this bush quite awhile so managed to get quite a few shots of him, I was so pleased!!
He is a Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly..
Love the blue on the tail..

He is showing 'his good side' here...lol
