A step back in time...

My daughter, who has developed an interest in old cameras, and photography from the past, has been after me to give her my old brownie junior for awhile now. Initially I said no, as I had this sentimental connection with my mom, whose camera it was, and I can still see her, I, as a young child, taking pictures of me with it. She has been gone for 11 years and this little piece of history sat on my bookcase, collecting dust. When my daughter first asked me if she could have it or borrow it, back in the spring, I couldn't part with it, but I did lend it to her, I still have a few things of mom which remind me of her, and this was one of them. Well Jo asked me this week again to borrow it, and I was surprised at myself that I had made the decision to
pass it on to her, she would get it eventually anyway, so now is a good a time as ever. She wants to take pics of her kids with it now, and seems like a perfect time to do it!! I know it is in good hands!!

  1. What a treasure! I found one of these in an antique store that I am giving to my hubby for Christmas. When it belonged to a family member, it's got special value!

  3. That old camera has captured many lovely memories over the years, but with this photo you have captured all those memories to hold onto. The memories you have and the joy you are giving your daughter are the real treasures.
