A cold January 1st morning..

Although the thermometer showed only -25, the actual with the windchill was -36.
Although a bitter evening for the Olympic flame to pass through Timmins, Shania Twain, did a fine job of carrying the torch.

  1. Good for Shania. It's such an honor to carry the torch that I don't think it would matter how cold or how hot it is.

  2. I have been up there in the winter months training the hydro for confined space rescue. It gets really cold!

  3. Yes does at times, January and February can be brutal for days at a time. The Hydro fellows are working on the lines outside in town for the past while, I don't envy them ! The rest of the year can be quite pleasant though..clean air too ..
