Juvenile Ring Billed Gull...

Caught this fellow as he took off from atop a light standard at one of my favorite haunts, Gilles Lake.

Easter weekend...

Had a great weekend, our two youngest grandchildren were baptized last evening, a beautiful service, and so nice to have it done on Easter, makes it even more special to me..
a family brunch today and a short drive later in the afternoon...
Ethan all dressed up in his 'sunday best', he was so cute...

Today, A moose at Cedar Meadows enjoying the first days of spring and no snow...

 the gulls are patiently waiting for the ice to melt on Gilles Lake..slow this year...

 and this fellow takes flight when he sees me, 'there she is again, I am outa here'...ha!

Hear Ye!! Hear Ye!! Spring is here...

Well almost...it's trying...

Although the ice is still on the lake..

the gulls and pigeons can't wait for spring, for the 'walkers' to start feeding them. Gilles lake is a
popular spot in the nicer weather, it is a small lake and has a walking trail around it, about 2 km. round.
There are plenty of gulls, pigeons and ducks in the warmer weather, and are well fed by people dropping by and enjoying the scenic spot. It stll is quite frozen but won't be too long, before the ducks will return, have young ones and we can all enjoy watching them grow...but for now...
