The Illusive Pileated Wood Pecker...

I have been trying unsuccessfully for over 4 years to get a shot of one of these fellows, and today was the day, taken with my 100-400mm lens, handheld, didn't even take the time to set up my tripod as I didn't want to miss a shot, so pleased !!

Took some tasty snacks out for the birds today, but not a bird in sight, so Missy Squirrel got to enjoy the bounty !

Another horse in and around Town... This friendly fellow, lives across the street, from the horse, sauntered over to see what I was doing, looks like he is smiling at me !!

Took a walk into our camp today, it is 14 degrees above zero and absolutely beautiful out..
Many pics taken, here are a few.. My closest pic of a Pileated, I heard him tapping, followed and got a few, then he flew off,
oh well, the season is early, hopefully I will get more..
