This fellow is a first for me, others have seen them, I had never, so was quite pleased when he flew in yesterday on our walk. He did land on the other side of the lake, so pic isn't as pleasing as I would have liked, but I will take it !!

I have never seen one of these either! Nice photos of him.
ReplyDeleteHandsome fellow! Good captures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mona and Lorac, I was so happy to catch him !!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I would love to get a shot of one of these. They are rare in Alaska, so hopefully sometime I will see one when we are traveling.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elaine !!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one of these in 'real life' either BUT one of my daughters carved a life-size one for me. I should post a photo of that one of these days. (She picked up this skill through a client she met - she's a community nurse - and they got talking about his carvings. He's an older gentleman who taught carving for years, and he's taken her under his wing. She's won a number of prizes already too!)
ReplyDeleteNice photos!
Thanks Rick, that is awesome for your daughter,
ReplyDeletewhat an opportunity for her, good for her !!
