A bridge to remember...

The Confederation Bridge crosses the Northumberland Strait and joins P.E.I. and New Brunswick in the Eastern region of Canada.
It is 12.9 Km (8 miles) long and is the longest bridge over ice covered water in the world.
The Speed limit is 80 Km. an hour so takes about 10 minutes to cross.
It is actually quite neat to travel over it.
It is a toll bridge, but you do not pay 'entering' P.E.I. but you do, on your return to N.B. Amount depends on the total number of axles on your vehicle, truck and trailer etc.
The weather is monitored regularly too, and if conditions aren't favorable, certain vehicles are not allowed until the conditions improve.
