A girlfriend and I took a walk at Kettle Lake Provincial Park today...she noticed this small garter snake on the path ahead of us...although I am not fond of snakes at all, I do enjoy coming across one when I have my camera with me.. :)

It slithered into the grasses but not before we got a few pics ...

Notice the red tongue...
Garter snakes are ok, but they still move pretty fast for me!

ReplyDeleteI think the ones around here are thinking of hibernating - getting quite cool at night (4C), and not much warmer today (12C).
Boy that is one red tongue! Nice shots.
