Just got home from camp, (opening it up), weather is not co-operating so came home for a few days. Put a new niger seed sock up and are the Pine Siskins ever thankful !! Will be busy over the next 4-5 days, then should be free for pic taking again !!
You are very welcome, Vagabonde ! they come filled with niger seed, the smaller birds, Goldfinches and Pine Siskins and some sparrows love it, they sway in the breeze and cling to it eating all the while!! and the bigger birds don't seem to bother with it, which is a bonus!!
I am wife, mother, nana, friend, head-chef, fledgling fotographer who eats and sleeps fotography !!
It is a constant in my life…love birds, bugs, animals, flowers,
themes, such as reflection, shadows, still life and macro..just about anything catches my eye…it's an obsession !!
In June/13 we moved from Northern Ontario to Goderich, On,the photo ops are endless,
we love this area, come along and follow my endless day trips with me..

At least you know somebody appreciates you! Nice photo of these hungry little guys.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes that they do, Elaine !
ReplyDeleteThanks..
Aren't they fun to watch? They can sure empty a sock in a hurry!
ReplyDeleteWe have 4 standard bird feeders in the back-yard but I have never seen this type of sock feeder. I'll have to investigate. Thanks for showing it.
