Loon and Greater Yellowlegs...










Took a drive down by the river this morning,

caught a loon and this pair of "Greater Yellowlegs"
(by my birdbook) have never seen these fellows before,
was quite happy with myself ...
and then they were gone!!

    Seeing your photos of the Loon brought a bit of joy today. I've been struggling to get my photo into my blog and not very happy about the time being wasted! The loon is my all time favorite -- occasionally can hear the mournful call of the loon. So thank you! The photos are lovely!
