    Thanks Montanagirl, for the head shot I was probably within 4', and the other one, he was back a ways but did come up closer, probably 30' away when I took it, we were on a touring wagon, so quite safe from them, unlike the moose,(we were allowed to pet and feed them) for these fellows,we were told not to reach out and touch them at all.

    I enlarged the first photo and his head looks very fuzzy. I wish I could pet him – don’t know if he would let me. This is a very cute pic.

    The guide said to keep our hands in, not the 'teddy bear' that he looks, I guess !! lol..

    Sounds like you had a really nice tour. These guys do look very cute, but looks can be deceiving.
