For the last few years, in January, I 'plant' this fellow in the back snow bank, so I can get excited about
having the snow melt and it tells me, spring is finally here...
Well this is the week...
He peeked his little eyes out on the weekend...
and with just above the freezing temperatures, today he is 'smiling'...and so am I...

Every warm day brings another smile as we get closer to losing this eternal snow.

Love it!! great idea, i may steal it!
ReplyDeleteHow cute. It did get up to 37 here today and sunny. But I hear we're in for more rain and snow showers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteVery clever idea. He looks excited too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine having snow on the ground continually until spring.
That is so cute! And I'm thrilled that Spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, something worth waiting for. I'm glad your snow is melting and you'll soon be basking in warm sunshine.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I like the idea, but I'm afraid if I had done that in January this year it would still be quite a while till the head peaked out. We had at least a foot and a half of snow in February.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, adds a little humour to our long cold winter anyway!!! Sure Ted, can't wait to see what you do next year..heh heh!!
ReplyDeleteElaine, we sure never know how much snow we are going to get, for sure, sometimes a storm in March can set it back a week or two also..
lucky this year, no March storm!
