Loon and Greater Yellowlegs...

Took a drive down by the river this morning,

caught a loon and this pair of "Greater Yellowlegs"

(by my birdbook) have never seen these fellows before,

was quite happy with myself ...

and then they were gone!!

A new family...

we were lucky enough to have a Robin family in our tree in the backyard last year, wonder if we will be as lucky again this year !!
