You know you are addicted to birding when...

Hubby asked me the other day, what I would like for Mothers Day, he isn't a 'go out and get me
a surprise' kind of guy, we usually buy what 'we want' for the special occasions, Soooooo I told him,
I had toyed with the idea last summer with buying myself a 'ground blind' for birding, a camouflage tent, if you will, with holes in it to shoot through, usually used for hunters, but my kind of 'shooting' is much friendlier, so really all I had to say was , 'do you remember last year when I was thinking about?'..........our friends, more avid birders too, have one, sooooo why not!!
Needless to say, I ordered one and should be in, in a few weeks..I am excited... I love green, and camouflage, so now I have a jacket, a hat, a fanny pak, and a blind...birdies watch out !!!
and just in time for camp opening.... :)

the young man on the phone, said, I had won !!!
To back up a bit, CTV news from Sudbury, Ontario, have a monthly feature, send in your
weather-related photo and if they show it during the daily weather segment, you have a chance to
win a monthly prize. Well I have won for April !! A two night stay at the Day's Inn Hotel and breakfast at Spencers Bistro !! (their food is excellent I hear)
So sometime soon we will be going down and enjoy my winnings !!!
I didn't even enter to win, I just enjoy showing my favorite pics, so others can enjoy
my hobby as I do,
so it was a pleasant surprise for me !

A rainy, dull day today, so took advantage of my feeders at home, still a tad breezey and cool..

This fellow is a first for me, others have seen them, I had never, so was quite pleased when he flew in yesterday on our walk. He did land on the other side of the lake, so pic isn't as pleasing as I would have liked, but I will take it !!

A content fellow...enjoying his day...

Out for a drive and hubby said, "there's a groundhog", he stopped the truck and I inched closer and closer to him, what a cute fellow, he was quite content with my presence !!
